How we distribute leads
A job request on this site — a “lead”, in trade jargon — is distributed among affiliated professionals. Below is exactly how that works, readable for anyone requesting a job and for professionals, no fine print.
Our role
Verhuisbedrijf Direct is a matching platform: we connect requesters and professionals and do not carry out work ourselves. A request is shared with at most 3 vetted professionals; we are not a party to the agreement that follows.
How a request travels
From request to contact it is four steps.
- You describe the job, with location and details, and choose how many professionals you want a response from: 1, 2 or 3.
- We check that the request is complete and that the address really exists (checked against the national address register, the Kadaster's BAG). Invalid requests do not go through; edge cases are reviewed by a person.
- The request goes to the best-matching professionals nearby — never more than 3. How we determine that order is set out below.
- A professional takes the request on and pays for it with credits. Only at that moment do they see your contact details, and they contact you directly.
Who gets to see a request
First we determine who is eligible. These are two hard conditions — a professional meets them or does not; there is nothing to weigh and nothing to buy:
- the professional offers the requested service;
- the job falls within the work area (postcode and radius) the professional set themselves.
Those who do not qualify never see the request. Those who do take part — even with an empty credit balance or a full schedule.
How we determine the order
When more professionals qualify than the request needs, a weighted score decides who is offered the request. Exactly two things count:
| What | Counts for |
|---|---|
| Rating — the average score (1–5) from customer reviews | 60% |
| Proximity — how close the professional is to the job, within their own work radius | 40% |
A professional without reviews yet counts neutrally (3 out of 5): being new is not a disadvantage. The highest-scoring professionals are offered the request, up to the chosen maximum.
What does not count
The order is not for sale. We deliberately rule these out:
- No paid priority: buying more credits gives no better place in the order.
- A professional's credit balance plays no part — payment only happens when taking on a lead.
- How full a professional's schedule is plays no part: whether they make room is their call.
- No self-preferencing: we do not rank our own or a favoured party higher. Everyone is scored the same way.
- The price of a lead follows from the request itself (type of job, region, size) — never from who buys it.
European platform rules (the P2B Regulation) require us to say whether the order can be influenced against payment. Our answer is no — that is how the system is built.
How many professionals get your request?
You decide. When requesting, you choose how many professionals you want a response from — 1, 2 or 3 — and no more than that number can ever take on your request. 3 is always the ceiling. The reverse holds too: a professional cannot pay to be the only one to get your request.
Invalid leads and credits back
For professionals: for a dead phone number, a request sold twice or a job outside their own work area, the credits are refunded automatically. Other cases — such as an unreachable requester or a different job than described — are reviewed within 2 business days.
Your data
Your contact details only become visible to a professional the moment they take on your request — not before, and never to more professionals than the number you chose.
Transparent and accountable
For every distribution we record which score and distance tipped the balance, so we can always show afterwards how a request was distributed.
