When the handover date of the old home and the keys to the new one don't line up, the moving company itself offers storage: the contents go from the van straight into a locked storage unit or container and come out again on the day the new address is ready. Loaded twice by the same crew — without an in-between move to a self-storage box.
Expect € 50 to € 150 per month, depending on the volume. A few pieces of furniture sit at the bottom of the band, a complete household at the top. Ask the quote how the storage is insured and what redelivery costs — that differs per company.
Good to know: state the expected duration in your request. For a bridge of a few weeks many companies quote differently than for months of storage.
